The project is the Iligan Cement Corporation (ICC) plant owned by La Farge Cement and located in Kiwalan, Iligan City. The plant facility was built in the early 70s and some of its structures have shown signs of advanced deterioration, attributed mainly to their exposure to the seawater environment.

ACO performed the detailed engineering design including structural investigation, condition assessment, structural retrofitting design and construction supervision of the following:

  1. A 105m x 10m loading jetty consisting of a reinforced concrete deck supported by pre-cast reinforced concrete piles.
  2. A 7-storey pre-heater building consisting of reinforced concrete frames supported by pre-cast reinforced concrete piles.
  3. The massive reinforced concrete Kiln Base Pier 2.
  4. The Finished Mill Building consisting of structural steel frames supported by pre-cast reinforced concrete piles.
  5. The Packhouse Building and Clinker Loading System.
  6. The Hurriclon structure and Hot Gas Transfer duct support structure.
  7. The 15m-diameter reinforced concrete twin Blending Silos.
